A recent article in our local small town newspaper had a story about the Sequim Police using RDF to locate Alzheimer's patients that had wandered off. This is a common problem . A few years ago I was a member of the Sheriff's Search and Rescue team and the most common callout was for this sort of thing. Follows a copy of the article:

I'm a little skeptical from the point of view of adequate training and being labor intensive, but thats the nature of Search & Rescue.
